The expansion of ZhangJiang High Technology Park in Shanghai on this plot had a requirement of 50.000 m2 of office space, divided in two parts: 25.000 m2 in two towers and the rest divided in small units (1600-3000 m2) organized in a campus-like park. Instead of opting for a central landscape park, common for these office parks, I decided to use a green ring concept to organise and connect the whole development. Two plazas in the North and the South are posed in front of the entrances.
The design of the masterplan is based on a natural feeling given by the materials – wood, green facades, the park and the water, playing with a more contemporary and digital look, trying to keep a coherent image between the small buildings and the two towers.
